FAQ

Are any measures taken to ensure my baby's safety and health?

Yes! Your baby's safety is my first priority. I have taken newborn safety trainings, and to ensure the health of the baby, I always wash my hands before beginning and wear a mask during the session.

Will my baby be comfortable?

I will always follow your baby's lead. If baby does not like a certain pose, or laying in a certain position is uncomfortable, I will change the approach to ensure baby's comfort.

What if my baby needs fed or changed during the session?

Again, we always follow baby's lead! If your baby gets hungry, we will stop to do a feeding. If baby is uncomfortable and needs a diaper change, I will stop so you can do that too. Because newborn babies have many needs, and often need comforting when fussy, newborn sessions can often take an extended amount of time.

How long do newborn sessions last?

Newborn sessions typically last 2 to 3 hours, but the pace is always guided by your baby’s needs. This allows plenty of time for feeding, comforting, and settling, so we can capture calm, natural, and beautiful images without rushing.

What is the best age for newborn sessions?

An age of two weeks and under would be the best time for our photo session, so we can ensure your newborn is still in that sleepy, dreamy phase.

When should I book my newborn session?

I recommend booking a couple of months before your due date to ensure availability. Of course, we will plan for a general time frame, and choose our exact date once baby has arrived!

Can siblings or parents take part in the shoot?

Of course! My base package is for baby-only poses, but poses with parents and siblings can be added for a small additional fee.

How should I prepare my baby for the session?

I will walk you through the best steps to take before a session so you are fully prepared and baby is ready to go!

What should the family wear?

If you are partaking in family or sibling photographs, I recommend simple, neutral, and coordinating colors to keep the focus on your baby and allow for light, airy photos. Soft tones like whites, creams, pastels, or muted colors work beautifully, while busy patterns or logos can be distracting in photos. Comfort is key, so choose outfits that allow you to move freely and interact naturally with your newborn.

Do you provide props, blankets, or outfits?

Yes! I will come prepared with everything we will need. I typically set up with props in the baby's nursery, but depending on space and lighting I may set up in an alternate location instead.

How long will it take to receive our photos?

Photos are usually delivered within 2-3 weeks.

How many images will we receive from the session?

My goal is to provide 25+ photos out of our session. This number can be much higher depending on how baby does during the session. With E3 photography, you get to keep all finalized images. No need to pick favorites to keep!

Can we share our photos on social media?

Absolutely! You are welcome to share your images on social media. We simply ask that you credit E3 Photography when posting so others know who captured these special moments.
